Dynanometer Testing
#1
Has anyone any recommendations for a dynanometer tester who can help get my carb jetting and ignition timing spot-on? Preferably somewhere not too far from Basingstoke.

I have a friend who put his Seven on a rolling road dynamometer in Lancashire and had the following results: 28 HP at 4400RPM at the engine, 20 HP the rear wheels and 74 MPH on 500 x 15" tyres. Can anybody explain how they got the engine power without a torsion meter between engine and gearbox.

Well if you have a really good rolling road, you can use the rollers to drive the transmission in neutral to get the rolling losses, but I doubt they have that possibility.
