Mille miglia 2012 - PDavies - 02-03-2025

Does anyone know the guys that entered the Mille Miglia in 2012 with an Ulster

I would like to contact them to find out about the event and what it was like .

Thanks Paul

Paul,
I may be mistaken but recall Andy Storer and Mike Peck taking part in an endurance event in an Ulster around that time.

That was the Targa Florio, Alan, which is another story.

There is an article about the MM in the 2012c edn. of the A7CA magazine. That is a shortened version of the full report in the PWA7C mag of c. mid 2012. Might be worth reading either to give a flavour of the event.

Regards,

Stuart

Stuart,

I stand corrected.

Thanks

I drove the route in my Ulster Special in company with the late Mike Davis in his Special, but that was in 2004. It was purely for fun without competition. We put both cars on one trailer to take them to Italy. Having two similar cars did prove useful in overcoming a few problems. Mike di an article in in 750 Bulletin: The Italian Job.

Thank you Alan, Stuart and Robert

I will try to find the articles , I did find some pictures of the 2012 event with an Austin seven TT car called Custard and a magazine article about the Austin seven TT against an MG in a classic car magazine . The owner being Andy Storer and the car OV1265 . Well done Alan.
Is OV1265 on the road ..... I have never seen it at any rallies but may be its still used in sprints or hill climbs ?

Cheers Paul

Andy Storer's Ulster, 'Custard', is certainly around and about.
