Screws for brass hinges - Steve Bryant - 22-02-2025

Hi all. I'm finally getting round to installing side and rear doors and their respective brass hinges. I have some questions to ask regarding the screws that hold the hinges to the pillars etc.

What would the size and length recommendations for the screws for brass hinges that were provided with the John Heath body kit ?

This isĀ  pic of the same type of hinges I have:

Any help in this regard would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen

Hi
I am pretty sure that the screws are number 10 gauge and about 1 1/4" long.
They were originally steel.
You might have to plug the old holes in the wood frame first.

I bought some 10 gauge 1 1/4 in stainless from https://www.screwsline.co.uk/ only last week for the Fiat door hinges

Dickie, the frame is all new build so no holes at present.
Thanks for your suggestion,
Stephen

Ordered Friday, arrived today

If I planned out all the screws I needed in one go I would have saved a King's ransom in postage!
