"Bernie Eccleston, a true icon of British automotive craftsmanship" Quick, the oxygen, he has gone red in the face with spluttering and has fallen off his chair!

Interesting - 4 things to note:

1 - its got my name on it - AJH!
2 - A Riley 9 engine actually boasts 1087cc
3 - Actually the second and third paragraphs are an almost direct lift from a Riley Register publication "The Riley Imp" of 2008, and
4 - Only small folk need apply - sporting Rileys of that era are famous for a certain lack of room behind the steering wheel!
