Bacon Slicer Starter question - Robin Gooders - 20-09-2024 Good Morning. I hope someone may be able to help me with this ? I'm trying to put together a good Bacon Slicer Starter from two units, and in the process also cure the annoying habit my old unit has of the pinion creeping forward and touching the flywheel ring gear (Ting ting noise) My question is, should the sprung damping pin, which prevents the pinion from creeping, bear on the bottom of the spiral thread/ groove? or the outside/ top of the groove? Of the two units I have, one seems to naturally align to the bottom of the groove, and one to the outside. Not sure if this is as a result of mixing up parts from different units. Anyone know which is correct please? Best wishes, Robin RE: Bacon Slicer Starter question - Chris Garner - 20-09-2024 Robin. I seem to remember it's the former. RE: Bacon Slicer Starter question - Robin Gooders - 20-09-2024 Thanks Chris, that's a great help. I appreciate you taking the time to photograph it for me. Regards, Robin RE: Bacon Slicer Starter question - AustinWood - 22-09-2024 I beieve that it is the top of the groove.
