VSCC Wiscombe Park Hill Climb, Devon 13-05-2018 - Timothy P - 09-03-2018 Date: 13-05-2018 VSCC Wiscombe Park Hill Climb, Devon Wiscombe Park, Southleigh, Colyton, Devon, EX24 6JE Practice starts 9AM, Competitive runs commence at 1PM Wiscombe Park provides the beautiful setting for the second round of the VSCC's speed championship. It is a great hill for spectating at, with a diverse range of viewing locations up the hill, all very entertaining. The event and usually sees a good number of 'proper' cars in the car park as well as a number parked in the paddock, and at the top of the hill (over 40 last year), with owners picnicking over lunch time. There are usually a range of autojumble stalls as well. Standard admission is £12, though discounts are available for VSCC members ordering advance tickets. I seem to recall getting a discount on the gate for showing my membership card, but wouldn't like to guarantee. More details, from the VSCC or Wiscombe Park Websites RE: VSCC Wiscombe Park Hill Climb, Devon 13-05-2018 - Timothy P - 29-05-2018 Again apologies for the delay in posting these. It was a super day at Wiscombe park, as I hope the photos and videos will convey. Lots of sevens amongst the brilliant range of cars on the hill, including 5 supercharged cars. Video first if you want to skip to the sevens, it is in class and number order, and sevens appear in classes 1,2,8 and 13. Just realised I made a typo in the video, Edwardians are Class 7, not 6. A few seven photo's picked at random as a taster, but do click any of them for the full album of competitors and spectators 232 photos in total and quite a few more Sevens (Class and number order followed by spectators cars by year). |
