Romsey in the 1950's - John Cornforth - 22-02-2024 Hi I was recently reminded of this collection of amateur colour films from the 1950s. Plenty of pre-war cars whizzing about, especially in the first few minutes. How many can you spot ? Is that a parked Nippy at about 1:40 ? The setting is my local town of Romsey, and most of the buildings still look pretty much the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7yIUbcXoOA RE: Romsey in the 1950's - Ivor Hawkins - 22-02-2024 Looks like a Nippy to me John! What a wonderful film, I shall relax and check out the whole thing later, but just the first couple of minutes are fascinating. RE: Romsey in the 1950's - Nick Salmon - 22-02-2024 Marvellous bit of nostalgia-making footage, with Sevens making many appearances. Sadly, the England shown in the film has long-since disappeared...
