1927 Super Sports Seven - Chris Garner - 13-02-2024

Thought you might like to see this - taken I think at the Austin Test Track. Perhaps those native to the area can identify the topography.

Oooh that's nice...

Yes please- how much ?  Tongue

RE: 1927 Super Sports Seven - Mike Costigan - 14-02-2024

What a super picture - I would agree, that looks like the perimeter of the Longbridge Flying Grounds. Obviously an official photo, it's amazing how new, unpublished images continue to appear.

RE: 1927 Super Sports Seven - Robert Foreman - 14-02-2024

Probably an unblown car, note no air gauge or hand pump fitted.

RE: 1927 Super Sports Seven - Chris Garner - 14-02-2024

Good spot, Robert. Those more learned than me have pointed this out, the patent plate being placed where the air gauge would have been sited.

Just lovely.. As Mike says, it is amazing how these photos continue to turn up. I suppose in these days of the Internet, sharing such images is such an easy thing to do...

Another, girls and boys. Quickly now, the mist's coming down!

RE: 1927 Super Sports Seven - Robert Foreman - 14-02-2024

The air gauge would have been to the left of the oil pressure gauge and the air pump slung from underneath the dashboard.

A prototype the shop sent out just for photos, wheel arches and running board only on one side?
