Fuel tap - Brice - 16-01-2024 Dear all, How might you go about making this tap 'fuel tight'? RE: Fuel tap - Chris KC - 16-01-2024 Well here's one account: http://www.da7c.co.uk/technical_torque_articles/leaking_petrol_tap.html - never tried it myself. RE: Fuel tap - Tony Griffiths - 16-01-2024 Ah! Beat me to it, Chris! When giving my tap and quick overhaul, I found the Vitron seals to be hopeless; but cork carefully turned down and then soaked in petrol for a while worked much better. The original tap I donated to Dave Mann to work his magic on RE: Fuel tap - Dave Mann - 16-01-2024 New corks are available from A7 components and once you put them into service do not let them dry out. RE: Fuel tap - Brice - 16-01-2024 Excellent. Thank you Chris, Tony, Dave. |
