Hello from a forum noob - falcott - 28-11-2023

Hi all. I'll introduce myself if I may. My name is Geoffrey and I live in New Zealand. I've just bought an A7, my first after selling one exactly 40 years previous. The first Austin, 40 years ago, was a special, and this one is too. I don't know anything of it's history, except that it's built on a 1936 chassis, probably about 20 years ago.
Looking forward to learning and doing -- my first job is moving the driver's seat forward, which it's not designed to do, because I seem to have runty little legs.   Wink

There are a few NZ members here so would be surprised if no one knows this car if it has been in its current form for 20 years.

With Bucket seats the move forward should be relatively easy- quite often Sports specials have a bench seat making the move more difficult.

The driver's seat is bolted to the floor (using metric bolts no less), and it needs some massaging to clear a body crossmember. About 1 inch forwards should do it. Anyway, we'll do what needs to be done!
