Crankcase sump stud hole - John Mason - 25-09-2023
I would like to make a drilling and tapping jig in order to repair threads for the sump of my Ruby. In order to do so I need t know the distance between the centre of the holes as they go down each side. I cannot measure the Ruby at the moment as it is 22 miles from my home. Does anybody by chance know this measurement.

Yes, been there John. Couldn't you use the sump itself as a drilling guide? I would suggest bolt it in place but with a few washers between sump and case, then use something like a spot drill to get a beautifully placed centre which actually matches what you are trying to attach.
