Grandads Austin 7 - dickie65 - 02-09-2023 Hi Folks, I now have evidence that I am a third generation Austin 7 owner. I suspect the driver is my Grandfather The picture has a date on the back which looks like 1938 it was bought in 1936 for £30. It is likely that it is my mother and uncle in the back with an unknown person. The car is alive and well looked after and has been seen at Beaulieu by my Uncle a few years ago. RE: Grandads Austin 7 - Mike Costigan - 02-09-2023 A delightful shot! RE: Grandads Austin 7 - Tony Griffiths - 02-09-2023 That's such a lovely picture! RE: Grandads Austin 7 - John Mason - 03-09-2023 Lovely. I like the somewhat formal dress that was worn in those days. No such thing as smart casual. John Mason RE: Grandads Austin 7 - Ruairidh Dunford - 04-09-2023 This car is the famous coffee and cream (now yellow and black) Chummy owned and run by Ray and Phyl Stephens. It is now owned by their daughter Jan Gold and resides on the Isle of Lewis. I have sent her a copy of the photo, she will be delighted. |
