Ken Cooke Picnic - Nick Salmon - 12-08-2023 Lots of Cooke family and friends gathered today at the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden in Bedfordshire to enjoy a picnic and to remember much-missed A7 stalwart, Ken Cooke, who died just after the Centenary Event last year. Ken's wife, Eileen, was celebrating her 90th birthday so we all had an excuse to eat lots and lots of cake. Janet Edroff and Gill Davis sorted out all the catering arrangements and there is not a chance that anyone went home hungry! It was a very fitting event and Ken would have loved to have seen the collection of cars that attended. RE: Ken Cooke Picnic - Rogerpugs - 13-08-2023 What an excellent turn out and fitting tribute to Ken, who I first met at Beaulieu in the late '60's Great photos Thank you Nick Cheers Roger Pugsley RE: Ken Cooke Picnic - Colin Cooke - 14-08-2023 Hi All, Thanks for posting the photos, Nick. And thanks to Janet, Gill and all of the PWA7C North Herts committee for executing an excellent idea perfectly. Everyone appeared to have a great day, and we even raised £222 for Dementia UK, to honour Mum's birthday. Dad would have loved it. All the best, Colin |
