Tom Pellow Navigation Rally - Steve kay - 22-06-2023
Editor Howard was correct to mention that the informal gathering at Shobdon airfield was part of the preparations for the Tom Pellow Navigation Rally. This will be the PWA7C contribution to this year's ongoing Inter Register Trophy series of nav rallies. The date will be Saturday 16th September. This will be a scatter rally, using OS sheet 148, keeping to the English side of the Border. All manner of pre-war cars will be welcome, but good Seven entries are important to chase the trophy. The existing state of the Inter Reg web site makes it difficult to work out what our current position is.
The event is named in memory of the sadly missed Tom Pellow. Although Tom took to Riley ownership, he was a very well known active Seven competitor and organiser for many years. As he lived near to Leominster, Shobdon was close to Tom's home, and thus a good place for such an event.
News, information and updates will be given, and hopefully in September there will reports of results and photos of Seven crews holding trophies and fizzy bottles.
