Diff Cage - Pete H - 27-02-2018

Hi

I am looking for a Diff cage for the heavy axle. I have a Trials special and the Diff pins have been spinning in the cage and badly worn the holes!!

Thanks

Pete

I don't know what Pete means by a 'heavy' axle. Can anyone enlighten me please?

Robert

Presumably the very late one with the big half shafts...

?

There are at least two types of heavy axle, both fitted with rod brakes. One has normal width half shafts and the other thicker half shafts. Both have the long keyways.

I didn't know that. I had assumed that the rod braked version simply had the thicker shafts..

You learn something every day...

It has the thicker shafts and 1 3/8 ID bearings .it's a normal width as it fits a ruby chassis. I understand it comes from a late Ruby but it's all new to me. Diff cage is probably common to this and big seven.
