Girling brake back plate position and cams - wild_willy - 28-04-2023

Can someone help me find the thread which discussed changing the back plate mounting position on a sports to improve the angle of the brake cable. I think it was Ruairidh who suggested swapping the brake cams from side to side in that thread. Can't seem to find it for some unknown reason.
Many thanks to all.

What car and what set up are you looking to achieve?

Thanks Ruairidh
I have a Nippy which has a front semi Girling front axle with a Bowden set up but an pre Girling rear axle. I am in the process of swapping the axle housings to convert it to semi Girling and thought I should consider the modification that you have on your Ulster as it seems to be a suitable approach to try when I fit the brakes. Would be interested to hear of your experience with this change.
