drive it day - phillips - 24-04-2023

Hi all, the S Wales club were out in force on drive it day, traveling through the Vale of Glamorgan, past Llantwit Major, then on too the ex  RAF Station at St Athens. The Aircraft museum, was a very interesting place to be, there were a surprising amount of aircraft and artefacts present and what I found nice was that no aircraft was roped off so you were free to walk right up to the the aircraft, and have a good look around them. And a number of the planes were open so you could sit in the cockpit, at no extra charge. A great museum and well worth a second visit. All home safe and sound, with 98 miles added to our Ruby. S&P

Hi S&P

Sounds like a good day!  You clearly got better weather than we had in Llandrindod!

Look forward to visiting St Athan sometime in the future.

Cheers

Howard
