London Classic Car show - Nick Salmon - 18-02-2018 Friend of mine went to this and sent me this picture. Whose is the green single seater? Looks a lovely job. RE: London Classic Car show - Duncan Grimmond - 18-02-2018 Ooh, I like that! RE: London Classic Car show - Nick Salmon - 19-02-2018 Other friends sent me these of the car. RE: London Classic Car show - Austin in the Shed - 19-02-2018 Looks a lovely job. There has been photo's of the TLS front brakes on here before,Really well designed and manufactured. RE: London Classic Car show - Ian Williams - 19-02-2018 Some time back there were quite a lot of photos on the web of this car during construction, however I can not find them anywhere now, I may have saved a few onto the old computer, if no one else can help I will get up steam and take a look RE: London Classic Car show - Nick Salmon - 19-02-2018 Thanks Ian. Would be appreciated. I certainly recognise the car but cannot place where I have seen it. Show catalogue apparently gives no clues as to ownership/origin. RE: London Classic Car show - squeak - 19-02-2018 Guys more info and pics in this thread on the ferrari enthusiasts site http://www.fcars.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?20690-Pre-War-Single-Seater cheers Russell RE: London Classic Car show - DavidL - 20-02-2018 (19-02-2018, 11:09 PM)squeak Wrote: Guys more info and pics in this thread on the ferrari enthusiasts site Great thread... I've also got some pictures saved but nothing like that detail. Recessed straps in the bonnet, tapered louvres so each one needs a different tool. Had seen the brakes discussed but missed that he'd made the front axle. Here's another link with a couple of pics: http://pub25.bravenet.com/forum/static/show.php?usernum=2099944454&frmid=5&msgid=886767&cmd=show http://s569.photobucket.com/user/harmitc/library/?sort=3&page=1 RE: London Classic Car show - Nick Salmon - 20-02-2018 Well done chaps for finding the links. So now we know PGS stands for Pea Green Special and that 'Bernard' created it in 2008 before he moved to Devon. I see he posted on the forum up until December 2015. Given the outstanding engineering on the car we'd love to try and get it displayed at the A7 National Rally. Does anyone have contact details for the owner? |
