One more for the road - Graham O - 18-01-2023 Bought in 1977, and at last on the road. Many thanks to all who have helped me on the way. Now the sorting out begins... Graham PS Sorry I can't see how to rotate the picture RE: One more for the road - Colin Morgan - 18-01-2023 RE: One more for the road - Hugh Barnes - 18-01-2023 Well done, Graham! RE: One more for the road - Graham O - 18-01-2023 A couple of views of the car as bought. It had been Ruby-ised a lot and the chassis had worn its way through the floor! The seats were loose, and sitting on blocks of wood. I must have been mad, but the journey has been fun. Graham RE: One more for the road - bob46320 - 18-01-2023 Nice job there Colin. Don't beat yourself up about the time it took to restore it. Ours only took 33 years ! Bob RE: One more for the road - Ivor Hawkins - 18-01-2023 Excellent! Twin wipers too, there’s posh! RE: One more for the road - Colin Morgan - 18-01-2023 Graham did all the work, I just spun the picture. RE: One more for the road - Tony Griffiths - 19-01-2023 Just click the pictures and it's the right way up..... A very fine job by the way; it looks superb. RE: One more for the road - Dave Mann - 20-01-2023 It looks good Graham but I won't show Sue the photo as she will want a wiper on her side., RE: One more for the road - Robin Oldfield - 20-01-2023 Looks lovely. Good to see that the side vents have been painted and not brassed. The only difference I can see from 'as new' is that the innermost part of the rad shell has not been painted black. Why did Austin do this as it seems unnecessary work when trying to build to a budget? |
