Engine Re-build Completed Finally - Jamie - 30-12-2022

After what has seemed to be an eternity, I have completed the re-build of my Ruby engine. All being well, I shall get it to a friend's place in the next few weeks and give it a test run: he has a test bed with everything ready to hook up to start an engine.

Thank you, everyone, who has answered my questions during the work or helped with parts.

All I need to do now is to complete re-building the running gear, the chassis and the body.

Regards,

Jamie.

Congratulations, Jamie! Hope it will run fine.
And that's surely the the best way to reuse a Prosecco cork... well done! ? Smile

Well done! Looking good. Your manifold studs - did you just use the longest standard sizes and make spacers accordingly? And what did you seal them with, out of interest?

Nice work, Jamie. Big Grin

Hurvinek: thank you. The prosecco cork fitted perfectly and certainly has more style than the old sock stuffed up the exhaust manifold.

Jon: Thank you. Originally  , I was planning to fit the standard manifold, so just used the same studs, using old valve guides for spacers. I sealed them with some sort of Loctite, but I cannot remember which type.

Ruairidhi: thank you.

Jamie.
