Surrey: Brooklands Reunion

Brooklands Museum, Weybridge, Surrey
Great event remembering the race meetings of old, held each year at the Brooklands Museum.
Pre WWII cars, motorcycles and bicycles are invited to park inside the museum (Via the Campbell gate, no need to pre-register) re enacting the scenes at Brooklands in the pre war years.
Pre-registered cars will be in action climbing the test hill, parading the Mercedes Benz World track, and the highlight of the day, the re enacting of race starts up the start finish straight and onto the banking.
This year the museum will be unveiling the full size working replica of the original 12 metre tall score board.
For more details directions and pricing see the Brooklands Museum website HERE

Dad and I left for Brooklands at 6:35. I had planned a scenic route, and the morning could not have been better.
After a thoroughly enjoyable 74 miles we arrived at Brooklands.

Here are some of the other sevens that were there.

And another one of the scoreboard, post unveiling.
