Stuck valve pins - JoeRowing - 03-08-2022 3 of the valve pins won't let go of their stems. Before I break out the Dremel, any tips? RE: Stuck valve pins - John Mason - 03-08-2022 I found on my Ruby that any tight ones came out with a small punch made from piano wire. That was after they refused to come out with the aid of narrow nosed pliers twisting and pulling. John Mason. RE: Stuck valve pins - David Stepney - 03-08-2022 My RP, so some unfathomable reason, has pin type valves rather than the earlier collett type and I had a similar problem extracting the pins. I suspect the problem is that, over the years, they get slightly bent and jam in the valves. I used a fine pin punch to remove then and replaced them with new ones (available from cherished suppliers).
