USA Woodie - Tony Griffiths - 21-06-2022 A beautiful job. Note the single rear light.... RE: USA Woodie - JonE - 21-06-2022 I find them a bit overblown - that hideous bulging roof like someone has tried to push too many donuts into it. Indeed, a tad overstuffed. Reminds me of the last meal I had in the USA; the steak would have sufficed for four people. An American asked, "Why do the English (yes, yes, I know...) eat so little?" The reply? "To leave room for the beer." RE: USA Woodie - Peter Naulls - 21-06-2022 I love them, but I am puzzled by the choice of wood - hard maple is really difficult to work with and quite heavy in my experience. Possibly because the cars are seldom driven and a "show finish" is all that matters. Most appear to be trailered to events - or inside vans. RE: USA Woodie - jpsmit - 22-06-2022 not 100% my taste but I wouldn't kick it out of my driveway for dripping oil. RE: USA Woodie - Peter Naulls - 22-06-2022 I was meaning the choice of wood when new Tony. Presumably it was locally available and affordable. RE: USA Woodie - John Mason - 22-06-2022 As to the roof and it’s doughnut shape. I have yet to meet anyone from the USA who can refuse another doughnut. This also includes myself when I go to the other side of the pond. Whatever you say it is still a very nice motor car. John Mason. RE: USA Woodie - Malcolm Parker - 22-06-2022 I think it's dreadful, like most things American (with apologies to our American Forumists). Everyone to their own. RE: USA Woodie - Hugh Barnes - 22-06-2022 Have you been to America, Malcom? |
