Windscreen Wiper Thread - Rick F - 26-05-2022

Does anyone know the thread of the two securing bolts on a Ruby-type windscreen wiper?

I think electrical kit tends to be odd number BA threads. Even number for mechanical.

As far as I can remember they are 2BA.

I think they're either 3BA or 5/32" Whitworth. It's very difficult to identify these two threads positively......

Thanks guys.  I have also been advised that they are 3BA by a seperate source

3BA has 34.8 threads per inch (tpi) dia 0.161 if that helps  beware some modern/old house lighting switch boxes use very similar size screws but have significantly different threads.

ps for older members, you will also have to purchase a good 2 stage magnifying glass as well as a screw thread gauge set  Rolleyes
