Twin wiper from single motor mech - frequentflyer - 23-05-2022

We fitted a double wiper mechanisum at the weekend but have ground to a hault due to an issue. The bits all fit and work but as the driven side moves the non driven side is pushed away from the windscreen. I guess the arm drive pins and the connector pins need to be paralel is the cause. Have other people had similar issues and whats the best fix.

So far bending the arms to get things running true and possibly using some little ball joints are on the cards. I also wondered if this type of arrangment is normally fitted from the top of the winscreen hanging down rather than up as we have done. Any ideas or advice welcolme.

Photographs of the installation from several angles and close-ups of the links, etc. would be a great help in understanding the problem.

Spent the afternoon bending the arms having lashed up a tool to bend in situe. Now all working, the trick is to get everything to run true to the axis of rotation. Even been out for a play on the droves and farm tracks in the ely district. Next job is the new engine
