They are getting so good these days - its remarkable how they've even had to use a different-from-original shade of paint so it doesn't fox the scrutineers. And, being picky, the grade of leather for the strap appears to be wrong.

Spot on Tony. It does nothing to help them gain other consignments.
Fortunately other auctioneers are better at it.
The guide price is £9k to £11k so unless someone is in the room I guess that we'll never know how far short of that range it falls

Is that the one that appeared on facebook some time ago where the builder daughter posted a video of her dad driving it on its maiden voyage?
The voyage was successful, but stopping presented a problem, and motion was stopped by a greenhouse!.
Would have got £250 on one of those TV video clip programs easy!

Sadly even if you turn up at the auction. You still wont know it's full worth.
Let's guess the resurve is £9k, that means the auctioneer can legally bounce bids of the wall to £8,999.00
Perfectly legal, as long as he doesnt bounce bids over the resurve.
The only way you find it's TRUE worth, is if it sells.
Especially if there is no resurve, as all biding should be genuine.
