top replacement - Vancevr - 06-05-2022 I am going to replace the top that someone put on a long time ago. It has hole where I drove under the mirror of a lifted truck and put a hole in it and when putting it down it got cought on the frame and tore. Can I see some pics of some 1929 tourer tops. Mine I know is the wrong one for the car. I would like to see some pic of what it should look like originally RE: top replacement - JonE - 07-05-2022 first port of call - the association archive site and look through some of the brochures and images there. As easy to access as this one. Also perhaps google '1929 Austin 7' and a huge amount will come up. The archive of historic images on here - accessed through the main forum - may also have some from that exact year? RE: top replacement - Jeff Taylor - 07-05-2022 Not forgetting of course the 'Archive Photos of Austin Sevens on Pinterest' by model type - link below: https://www.austinsevenfriends.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=123 RE: top replacement - Vancevr - 09-05-2022 How is the material fixed to the body? It looks like it is almost glued on there. RE: top replacement - Howard Wright - 09-05-2022 Hi Vancevr If you send me your email address via a private message I can send you photos of my RK roof as it was built. Cheers Howard RE: top replacement - Vancevr - 09-05-2022 (09-05-2022, 10:56 AM)Howard Wright Wrote: Hi Vancevr i thought the RK was a saloon not a tourer? RE: top replacement - Howard Wright - 10-05-2022 Ooops Sorry I thought your car was a saloon. Many apologies. Howard |
