Ruby MK2 door removal - phillips - 01-04-2022 Hi all. I need to remove the N-S. Door on our ruby, but I am having trouble trying to knock the hinge pins out. Are they peened over? I do not want to use heat as the paint is in good order, also I do not want to remove the door by removing the bolts/screws from the wood frame. (But I may have to) The three brass screws that are on the bottom hinge will need an impacted screw driver to remove them, but the metal around the base screws look very weak/rusty, that’s why I need to remove the door, any ideas please Also is it possible to purchase new hinge pins. Sorry for my meandering .S&P. RE: Ruby MK2 door removal - Colin Morgan - 01-04-2022 Hi. When I did this, I removed the inside door panel and took the bolts out that held the door to the hinges. Supporting the door at the rear on a scissor jack helped the process. RE: Ruby MK2 door removal - Tiger - 02-04-2022 I am with Colin Did exactly the same very straight forward on my Ruby |
