It is worth a mention that it appears there are more than one size of Ruby sunroof!

Yes, as we now know, the Mk2 sliding panel is 1" shorter than the Mk1's.  It seems that our original research was based on a car that had acquired the wrong component at some point in its history.  We never stop learning!
