Twice as much space as you think you need c RE: What would you include in the perfect Austin Seven workshop? - squeak - 06-01-2022 my biggest wish would be a 60 CFM compressor for outside sand blasting. The terrain here means my front entrance is in the end of the shed, it would be nice to have a rear entrance as well but sadly there is a gully behind. RE: What would you include in the perfect Austin Seven workshop? - Hedd_Jones - 06-01-2022 A crapper, sink and shower (in the workshop). Heating A couch. 4 post lift. A frame gantry on wheels. Block and tackle or similar. Oxy/acet/propane. Arc/mig welder A nice Bridgeport A small horizontal borer A decent size lathe. A Webster & Bennett would be nice, but not really for Austin 7 work. Some stores, BSF/BSW nuts and bolts etc in small sizes. RE: What would you include in the perfect Austin Seven workshop? - Nick Lettington - 06-01-2022 The one thing I'd like in my workshop is time..! RE: What would you include in the perfect Austin Seven workshop? - Howard Wright - 06-01-2022 Hi All I’d echo most of the above and include A rubber tiled floor and lots of light! The former I installed in my garage to cover a dusty concrete floor and it’s made a big difference. The latter I don’t have enough of . Cheers Howard RE: What would you include in the perfect Austin Seven workshop? - Ruairidh Dunford - 06-01-2022 Some great ideas, please keep them coming. Accessible storage loft. Separate clean down/blast area. Side stable doors to allow a number of cars to come in and out individually without the need to move other vehicles first. Machining section. Build up Section. "Break down" storage racks. Screened area for paint. Open bins for fasteners. Water point/sink. Old oven. Heating (utilising waste oil) and proper insulation. W/C. Hoist points. Ramps (plural), one for build up, the other for ongoing repairs. RE: What would you include in the perfect Austin Seven workshop? - andrew34ruby - 06-01-2022 Good thermal insulation. A large door in front of the main work area so can wheel the seven outside on fine days. A separate booth just for paint spraying. |
