The radiator badge looks to be Dixi, not BMW-Dixi, so that would make it a 1928 car.

Agree. Strange way the wiring for the indicators leaves the scuttle. I wonder if there would be an ingress of rain water into the car over time.
Sensible Germans, fitting forward mounted headlights!
Whenever I see period photos of Dixi / BMWs I always think about what befell the occupants in the years to come - the little lad in the rear seat for instance.
