Where was LJ9146??? - IanClayton - 28-08-2021 A mate of mine here in Southern Ireland has recently taken ownership of a potentially very fine example of a 1934 RP deluxe saloon. It's been in Ireland since 2005 or 6 but for the past 10 years has been in a partially dismantled state - that being the result of an abandoned restoration due to the demise of the owner and the collapse of the workshop then undertaking the work. LJ9146 1934 RP CHASSIS 184554 -- bore a BRISTOL A7 CLUB badge and was on the A7CA register in 2006 linked to the PWA7C but so far we haven't managed to find out who owned -- or where it was in the UK prior to it's arrival over here. It bears a Parkstone/ Bournemouth suppliers plate which tallies with the original Registration county. BUT someone must know something of it's history??? This RP was obviously quite well looked after and was, we believe, fondly known as 'THE BETSY', a small old 'dynotape' label to this effect was stuck to the windscreen' Can anyone out there in forumland help? info please to me or chrisomahony01@gmail.com Thanks |
