Original Top Hat trim? - Parazine - 02-08-2021 Progress on the Top Hat has been slow this summer, mainly due to work commitments but also because I have reached the trimming stage, where I am almost totally inept. However, I need to plan for some work this Autumn and I wondered whether any forumists have, or know of a Top Hat (1926 - 28, R type) saloon with substantially original trim? It would be good to have some photographs and possibly a visit, if not too far away from the central south of England. Thanks Tim R RE: Original Top Hat trim? - Howard Wright - 02-08-2021 Hi Parazine I assume you’ve got Rinsey Mill’s book. It has some good photos of the R type? Cheers Howard RE: Original Top Hat trim? - Parazine - 02-08-2021 Yes, I have the Rinsey Mills book, also Robin Lawton's photo's on line. I'm trying to establish the exact layout of the original trim around the side windows and door windows as I inherited a 1980's interpretation that may not have been based on fact! |
