Valve spring poundage. - Robert Foreman - 13-06-2021 Does anyone have any values of poundages for valve springs? Installed poundage and say at 5/16" lift. RE: Valve spring poundage. - stuartu - 13-06-2021 Robert, I have already asked the question of my guru who has given me an answer which he wishes to check in his notes in the coming week. Meanwhile, all others please respond! Regards, Stuart RE: Valve spring poundage. - Charles P - 13-06-2021 I'll see if I can find my notes. I know that on my engine it's not that high and it revs happily to what I want. I remember that I found Tony Betts' doubles were good, having a decent nose load, not too high at full lift and usefully the thinner wire used meant that they didn't get coil bound before 330 lift. C RE: Valve spring poundage. - Robert Foreman - 20-06-2021 So apart from Charles and Stuart's guru, surely there must be others who have calculated spring poundage over the years? |
