Thread fittings into and out of F/pump? - flywheel1935 - 24-04-2021 I just need to clarify the threaded fittings into and out of my 1935 Ruby's fuel pump body, Are the by chance 1/8th BSP taper ???? RE: Thread fittings into and out of F/pump? - Roy Player - 24-04-2021 HI YES 1/8" BSP TAPERED RE: Thread fittings into and out of F/pump? - dickie65 - 24-04-2021 I though it was BSPP on the fuel pump. 1/4" is the norm on the earlier rear tank cars Flange seal with fibre washer. I would be suprised if a Ruby was any different from the earlier cars with a rear tank. The oil pressure take of is 1/8" BSPP for comparison. My car is 1/4" BSPP to 5/16" copper pipe. 1933/34 RE: Thread fittings into and out of F/pump? - Bob Culver - 24-04-2021 Many cars have been fitted with much later pumps. Without burrowing in the bsaement to check, were these ANF/UNF as postwar zenith carbs? RE: Thread fittings into and out of F/pump? - flywheel1935 - 25-04-2021 Cheers guys, looking at a new carb option. will see how it runs after test drive. |
