Hi All
Could anyone let me know the thread size on the securing nut that holds the starting handle shaft to the nose cone on a 1929 or 1930 car?

Without going out and measuring one I think it's 1 1/4"x16tpi

Thanks. I must admit that I could measure the one on either my RK or Special but both are on the car and I’m being a bit lazy
.The reason for my request is that I have an OK short nose one from a later car (RP without the thread) and I intend turning an extension with a thread and welding it onto the shorter nose cone.

Oooops
Just realised that the later RP nose cone is too narrow to take the collar on the earlier shaft.
Back to the drawing board
