Found whilst researching my own 7, Middlesborough Garage.

That looks like it's a Mulliner Sports.

RE: NICE SPORT - Howard Wright - 02-01-2021

+ 1 for the Mulliner Sports

Interesting railway carriage behind?

Cheers

Howard

Nice to have an identification, not checked the reg , looks like JG?

RE: NICE SPORT - Mike Costigan - 03-01-2021

JG 1928 dates it to a mid-1931 Canterbury registration; I suspect it's more likely to be OG 1928, which is a mid-1930 Birmingham number.

RE: NICE SPORT - Rpm - 03-01-2021

Yes, Mike, OG fits better. Wish it was in my garage.

RE: NICE SPORT - Jeff Taylor - 03-01-2021

Assuming the photo was taken in the Middlesbrough area, the grounded railway carriage body would appear to be a North Eastern Railway six-wheeled, third class compartment coach dating from the mid 1880's to the mid 1890's - a similar coach body to this is currently awaiting restoration at Kirkby Stephen East station in Cumbria - see photo top right in the link below:

Good detection Jeff, Interesting!I Recently visited the engineering workshops in my Village in Williton Somerset and have a chat with the enthusiastic chaps there restoring steam engines /coaches. The line runs from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead.
