Getting my 13 year old ready for an Autosolo

RE: Training em young ! - Peter Sweeney - 03-09-2020

Good idea. Before he had any lessons on a modern. I took my 17 year old grandson to an empty car park and showed him the controls and on - off clutch. After a few false starts he could drive it round and change gear quite well. Never having driven a modern helps I think with the clutch. I will be interested to see how he gets on after he passes his test. Pete

I have been teaching my 14year old great-grandson how to drive the Seven, the Landrover and the Polo whilst he has been with me for most of the summer. He is now competent on the half mile (private) track leading up to my bungalow in all three vehicles. In particular, he has (almost) mastered the intricacies of the Seven's crash box!
