I'm interested in peoples opinions.
What do people prefer owning/ driving / repairing ?
RN ,RP or a Ruby ?
Why ?

RP. All the prettiness of the box saloon with (almost) the civilisation of the Ruby of whose styling I am not a fan.

Ruby, because I've got one !!!!!!

Ruby but not driven it yet

I had a pearl and it drove very nicely indeed, very comfortable and easy to drive, I wish I'd never sold it. I also had a 3 speed box saloon and that was rather hard work to drive, possibly not the best example but it did work and was more vintage in its appearance. I always liked the Tickford cars. If I'm not allowed an opening roof it'd be a green ruby, not sure why, I always thought they looked nice in green.

for fun driving, a moderately tuned Austin Seven special — also very accessible for tinkering.

Steel short wheelbase saloon (RL and RM).  A slightly tuned engine helps the 4.9 : 1 axle ratio.
An Ulster rep is brilliant in fine weather but if you are over 60 and live in North Yorkshire, the saloon is the car!

Agree with Malcolm apart from the Yorkshire bit.

I am very happy with my RM saloon - it even has the bonus of a sunshine roof - and I enjoy the driving challenge of getting the best out of an under-powered car with less than ideal gear ratios, but if I wanted a more relaxed drive, then a de-luxe Ruby (I must have that sunroof!) would be ideal.
