Help needed - Jack in the Box - 10-06-2020 Further to my earlier post; we have a 1928 AD Tourer that is Failing To Proceed because all of the teeth have worn away on the fibre spur gear in the ML RF4 magneto. Please does anyone have one of these with a serviceable gear that would enable us to proceed once more? [attachment=10454] or, has anyone managed to procure and fit a replacement gear please? Many thanks Alan RE: Help needed - Zetomagneto - 10-06-2020 Have you tried hereĀ https://www.magneto-ignition.co.uk/page_3010769.html RE: Help needed - Jack in the Box - 10-06-2020 I have now. Many thanks RE: Help needed - Jeff Taylor - 11-06-2020 If you fail to find a new or S/H replacement then it may be worth contacting Leek Gears of Leek in Staffordshire to see what they'd quote to cut a replacement. I believe in recent years they've cut a replacement helical fibre timing gear for a 1946 - 1948 Wolseley Eight OHV engine. https://leekgears.co.uk/what-we-do/gear-cutting/ RE: Help needed - Jack in the Box - 11-06-2020 Many thanks Jeff. Alan RE: Help needed - Stuart Giles - 11-06-2020 If you draw a blank elsewhere, Muffett Gears are fairly local to you at Tunbridge Wells. https://www.muffettgears.co.uk/products/spur-gears/ RE: Help needed - Jack in the Box - 11-06-2020 Thanks Stuart.
