How many felt washers and thin steel washers are there on a A7 cross shaft, and are they all the same size? This cross shaft has been my nemesis. I got a load of parts and I’m trying to piece things together and some bits are missing so it hasn’t been easy.
Hope someone can help.

I think even Platt's catalogue doesn't have an exploded view - I can only think of the rather terrifying sketch on p94 of the The Companion, which is unlikely to help you much. As Zeto says, step 1 is identifying what you have exactly.
