odd sports axle... - JonE - 15-03-2020 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174220360342?ul_noapp=true Looks basically similar yet different... what is that off? RE: odd sports axle... - Davemayle - 15-03-2020 It looks like the axle ends have been welded on to the 'H' section? RE: odd sports axle... - dickie65 - 15-03-2020 Ha Ha, Some one is trying to up the price !! Its a Very Rusty Big Seven front axle. It could possible be from a ford though, the brake actuator looks non Austin. ( Note the Girling Brakes ) not early at all. A few folks have used them on Sevens the king pins are 5/8" and the track rod goes in front of the axle. RE: odd sports axle... - Nick Lettington - 15-03-2020 Is it not a big 7 axle then? Ah... simultaneously responding... rhetorical question! RE: odd sports axle... - squeak - 15-03-2020 I believe it to be a standard big seven axle. Another one is for sale on Ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=254538936296&_sacat=0 RE: odd sports axle... - Paul N-M - 15-03-2020 Big Seven all day long! Good for non vintage specials/racers. Wider track, stronger, bigger king pins. The forward track control arms can be reversed to face backwards if new keyways are machined into them. Paul N-M RE: odd sports axle... - Martin Prior - 15-03-2020 Yes, Big Seven. RE: odd sports axle... - Edgar Lowe - 15-03-2020 I have one exactly the same from a big 7. |
