When did the steering box become aluminium and was it on all models?

Aluminium boxes began with the first model (1923) sold. I'm not at home to check correct dates, but in the 30s they went to cast steel, then for a time they reverted back to aluminium, then by 1936-7 on the Ruby-type models they went to a different "hour-glass" shape in steel. Hopefully someone with access to reference material can fill in the dates if you wish to know more. Cheers, Bill in Oz
