sad news for Boat Tail two seater owners - JonE - 01-02-2020

Just reading the latest A7OC magazine to hear that Chris Chubb, long time registrar for the Boat Tail Register, passed away in November 2019. When I caught up with him at Bewl in the summer he had drily commented something along the lines of his (SWB) boat tail having been "gradually shrinking"... and I know he had been trying to get his (LWB) van properly running for continued, comfortable, Austin 7 travels.

My car will be finally running soon as a result of purchasing a spare front axle from him, so I will have a prompt to good memories of someone who has helped me with various 7 things in recent years.

Very sad. Chris was a true enthusiast and always had time for a friendly chat. He will be missed.

Very sad, as Tony says he was very helpful with information on Boat Tails, hopefully someone will continue with the register.
