Tatty Chummy for sale - Mike Costigan - 11-01-2020 This looks an interesting project for someone: 1928 chummy.JPG (Size: 99.65 KB / Downloads: 534) https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1191290 Interestingly both the Association chassis register and DVLA have it recorded as Blue; it certainly looks like it was blue at one stage, but not for many years! RE: Tatty Chummy for sale - Duncan Grimmond - 11-01-2020 It's almost in better condition than a noted one which arrived at Gildtown last autumn... RE: Tatty Chummy for sale - Ruairidh Dunford - 11-01-2020 I absolutely love cars like this - don’t underestimate the amount of time and money required to keep it looking so and be safe to drive however. RE: Tatty Chummy for sale - Howard Wright - 11-01-2020 Hi All Make a tidy Ulster ! NOT! Cheers Howard PS Not for me I’d be tooo tempted to start restoring. RE: Tatty Chummy for sale - Alan - 11-01-2020 I’m being restrained. Apparently if I buy it she won’t speak to me again RE: Tatty Chummy for sale - Ruairidh Dunford - 11-01-2020 Oh, for the quiet life... RE: Tatty Chummy for sale - Ruairidh Dunford - 11-01-2020 At the other end of the spectrum you also have these today in the VAR Magazine and they are remarkably good value in my opinion. RE: Tatty Chummy for sale - Nick Turley - 11-01-2020 Lovely to find, very hard to make into a sustainable usable car. We all have different ideas as to how to do that. Great fun to do. Costs go out of the window ! I know I am doing "Jumbo" (a 1925 AC tourer) at the moment. Cannot wait to get using him. I agree with the comments on the Twelve. They are fantastic value for money. Lovely very usable cars. Ultra reliable and very well built. Cheap to run. RE: Tatty Chummy for sale - Tony Betts - 11-01-2020 as R suggests. safe to drive is the key. with friends i done the 1925 strettam car last year, and we were lucky we kept the costs very low. with wing and runningboard repaires needed, an engine rebuild etc. this one could be much more involved. and expensive. apart from that ID LOVE IT. just to much to do on my own stuff as it is. these chances dont come up to often now, so good luck someone. tony |
