Gearbox and Syncromesh - Derek Sheldon - 10-11-2019 Yes How can I identify a box with syncro on a 1933-34 model . There is a stamping on the top of 6570, does that indicate anything. RE: Gearbox and Syncromesh - Chris KC - 10-11-2019 The crash box has a large nut on the front of the turret for the gear lever, the synchro boxes don't. Some synchro boxes had synchro on 3rd and top, some also on second. I'm not sure you can readily tell the difference without looking inside. <edit> unless you've got a 3-speed box in there, in which case it's a crash box... RE: Gearbox and Syncromesh - Derek Sheldon - 10-11-2019 Crash box it is then, four speed . Thanks Chris |
