RE: 1924 Micron - Mike Costigan - 10-11-2019 The Belgian Micron actually starts, although you will note he is not brave enough to show us it being driven! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsEtX2RqgIQ RE: 1924 Micron - Tony Griffiths - 10-11-2019 (10-11-2019, 04:18 PM)Mike Costigan Wrote: The Belgian Micron actually starts, although you will note he is not brave enough to show us it being driven! At least, with those massive acetylene headlights he'll be able to see where he's going. One of the maker's accessories (I'm making this up) was a football bladder positioned between the acetylene generator and fastened on the outside of the car next to the driver's elbow. What is this for? you say. Well, upon approaching a particularly difficult bend at night in the pouring rain, to improve the light output all the conducteur had to do squeeze the ball and momentarily increase the gas flow.... RE: 1924 Micron - Ruairidh Dunford - 10-11-2019 I like it even more - I have just asked Tanya if I can have it for Christmas. RE: 1924 Micron - Nick Salmon - 10-11-2019 These Micron cars are awesome. I love that rad arrangement. There is another one a bit further down the page. Looks lovely. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1161145 ![]() RE: 1924 Micron - Ruairidh Dunford - 10-11-2019 If I bought five we could all have one each and then travel across France in a convoy - this could happen! RE: 1924 Micron - Nick Salmon - 10-11-2019 Great idea Ruairidh! Now I get the rad thing. It is front wheel drive and the whole rad/engine/gearbox rotates. Here is one running. https://www.revolvy.com/page/Micron-monocar/cyclecar-1924?stype=videos&cmd=list&sml=_iWbPAKhSUA |
