Advice on fitting the Silicone Valve Chest Cover - DaveT - 14-10-2019 What’s the best way to fit the new silicone valve chest gaskets? With the cork gasket you had to chamfer the gasket to fit into the cover then cement it in place before sealing it when fitting. Do I fit the silicone gasket dry or greased or sealed?? Any advice is more than welcome. Thanks RE: Advice on fitting the Silicone Valve Chest Cover - Rick F - 14-10-2019 I do the following: Degrease the groove. Put the gasket in position. Secure each corner with little dob of superglue. Clean the mating surface on the block. Fit and forget! A lot easier that playing around with the cork gasket. |
