just a quick question from a Yank with a '35 Pearl: What is the object of the popular hill climb...doesn't appear to be particularly hard if the video is any indication. Are there prizes or is this just a fun weekend outing? Are there style points? Slowest up the hill (least revving)? Least tire slippage? Most successful climbs without stalling and rolling back down the hill? Best driver costume? Are there a progression of tougher (steeper) hills?

Suggest you google VSCC Trials. (Vintage Sports Car Club) Loads of footage and some far from easy sections. Also loads of mud when wet!

Hi Steve
This trial was really unusual because it was blazing hot, dry as a bone, and there was not a scrap of mud to be seen. Normally there is a degree of cold, mud, rain, snow, sleet etc etc.
