Ferry across the Mersey - Roland Alcock - 26-06-2019 HA7C are away for the week staying at Mold. We are considering a trip to Liverpool. Looking to park up at Wallasey or Birkenhead. And taking the ferry. The query is, is there reasonably safeĀ parking. Before we take the ferry? Thanks Roly RE: Ferry across the Mersey - Reckless Rat - 26-06-2019 Quid to watch yer car Mister? No it's OK I've left the Rottweiler inside. Fireproof is he? Ey, Ey calm down, calm down. RE: Ferry across the Mersey - "Slack Alice" Simon - 26-06-2019 Thanks for that, Reckers. Had both me and Jan laughing out loud. Apparently its all gone upmarket since my Dad was in charge of the ferries, back in the '60s. RE: Ferry across the Mersey - Dave Mann - 26-06-2019 I used to park my Seven all over Liverpool, it's dockland and Toxteth in the 1960s, it was always intact when I returned to it. RE: Ferry across the Mersey - Roland Alcock - 26-06-2019 Ho ho ho! I remember when I lived in Liverpool in the 1950s that a car parked on a bomb site would lose its wheels with the hour! |
